Winners awarded at closing ceremony of Tehran International Quran Contest

The closing ceremony of Tehran's 39th International Holy Quran Competition is underway in Tehran with the winners being awarded.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The closing ceremony of Tehran's 39th International Holy Quran Competition is underway in Tehran with the winners being awarded.

The closing ceremony is underway in Iran's International Conference Center attended by Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Culture Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili, and Head of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization of Iran Hojjatoleslam Mahdi Khamoushi as well as the Iranian and foreign participants of the contest.

The awards went to the winners for both women and men parts, which is as follows:

In the women's section and in the memorization category, participants from Ghana, Iran, and Algeria stood in first, second, and third places, re.

In the Taritl recitation category, women from Iran, Lebanon, and Afghanistan won the first, second, and third awards, respectively.

In the men's section and in the memorization category, participants from Iran, Kenya, and Bangladesh stood in first, second, and third places, respectively.

In the Taritl recitation category, men from Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and Lebanon won the first, second, and third awards, respectively.

In the Tahqeeq recitation category, winners from Iran, Afghanistan, and Indonesia received the first, second, and third awards, respectively.

The opening ceremony of the international Quranic event was held on Saturday in Iran's International Conference Center, concurrent with the occasion of Eid Al-Maba’ath (the appointment anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
