Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that wherever the officials have distanced from the Quran, Islamic teachings, and people they suffer failures.
Ghalibaf said: "At the opening ceremony of Iran’s 39th International Holy Quran Competition said: said: Today, wherever we failed in cultural, social, political, economic, and even environmental issues, it is at the same point that we distanced ourselves from divine traditions and excluded people from effective work and participation."
He made the remarks at Iran’s 39th International Holy Quran Competition kicked off in Tehran's International Conference Center on February 18, 2023.
"Beside memorizing and reciting Quran, today we should promote the Quranic messages and practice them," Ghalibaf stressed.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran was established based on the Quranic principles, and relying on its social capital, it produces power, knowledge, and, wealth.
The Iranian parliament speaker pointed to the international Quran contest and reminded the audience of the fact that such an event was an opportunity to convey the message of peace, friendship, unity, freedom, independence, support for the oppressed, and the fight against the tyrants.
Ghalibaf referred to the Israeli regime's movements in the region against the Muslims, noting that the regime was always trying to cast aspersion and division among the Muslims and among the Islamic governments.
