44th anniversary of Islamic Revolution celebrated in Quetta, Pakistan

Celebrations marking the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution was held in Quetta, Pakistan in a highly ceremonial party on that historical day hosted by consul general of Iran with distinguished Pakistani guests.

The ceremony marking the 44th blessed anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was held at the Consulate General Building of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta, the capital city of Pakistan's Baluchistan southern province.

The special guests of the ceremony included Mir Ziaullah Lango, the interior minister of Baluchestan province, a representative of the Head Minister of Baluchestan province and a number of provincial parliament members, who congratulated the occasion to the Iranian hosts.

The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta Hassan Darvishvand in his brief address appreciated the presence of the distinguished provincial officials and friends of the Islamic Revolution in the glorious celebration, arguing that the Islamic Revolution paved the path for deepening relations among the regional nations, especially between the two friendly and brother nations of Iran and Pakistan.

He added that this year the celebrations marking the victory of the Islamic Revolution coincided with the 76th anniversary of the establishment of Iran-Pakistan relations, and the two nations have always been each other's supporters, while the high-ranking Iranian and Pakistani officials, too, have always spent joint efforts aimed at deepening bilateral relations.

The interior minister of Baluchistan province of Pakistan, too, in his address referred to the special and exalted status of the cultural, political, economic and social relations between Iran and Pakistan, especially between the neighboring provinces of the two countries with long history of amicable ties.

"Having over 1,000 kilometers of land and sea borders between Baluchestan province of Pakistan and its Iranian neighboring provinces, keeping in mind that this is the only Pakistani province that has land and transit transactions with Iran, with efforts aimed at establishing political and economic relations and interactions between the two neighboring countries' people, leads to evermore expansion of our relations," he added.

Earlier today, high-ranking Pakistani officials, including prime minister and the heads of the Senate and National Parliament of Pakistan in messages congratulated the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution to the Iranian nation and government.

Also, the president of Pakistan in a message addressed to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei congratulated the 44th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution and stressed Pakistan's commitment for further strengthening of bilateral ties.
