Hamas condemns arrest of Islamic Jihad leader by Israeli terrorist forces

The Hamas Movement has condemned the arrest of several Islamic Jihad Movement leaders including Sheikh Khadr Adnan by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF).

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hamas Movement has condemned the arrest of several Islamic Jihad Movement leaders including Sheikh Khadr Adnan by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF).

In a press statement on Sunday, the Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou labeled the IOF arrest as a failed attempt to de-escalate the Palestinian resistance activities in the occupied West Bank.

Qanou called on the Palestinian people to mobilize against Israeli crimes and to defend their lands and holy sites.

Earlier today, 10 Palestinian citizens from the occupied West Bank including leader Khadr Adnan were arrested.

"The IOF arrested my husband and transferred him to an unknown detention center after storming our house in the middle of the night," Adnan’s wife, Randa Mousa, said.

She added that the IOF soldiers blasted the door of their house and beat Adnan after he announced that he is going on hunger strike in protest at his arrest.

Adnan is an ex-prisoner who was arrested more than once and spent more than seven years in Israeli prisons. He had been on hunger strike five times during his different incarceration periods.
