AhlulBayt News Agency: Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied al-Quds on Monday morning and later in the afternoon.
According to local sources, at least 323 settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.
Footage circulated on the internet in the morning showed two settlers waiving Israeli flags without any intervention by the police officers who escorted them.
Some settlers also chanted the Israeli anthem as two of them carried Israeli flags during their tours of the Mosque.
Other settlers performed full prostration with their bodies pressed flat on the ground after entering the Aqsa Mosque, amid restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to their holy site.
Local sources said that the Israeli police imposed entry and movement restrictions on Palestinian worshipers who flocked to the Mosque from different areas of al-Quds and 1948 occupied Palestine (Israel) during the presence of settlers at the holy site.
