AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President described achieving a 4% growth rate in economy, a 5% growth rate in the production sector, achieving the goals in the sector of creating employment and eliminating unemployment, increasing oil exports and obtaining its revenues, success in preventing tax evasion and increasing the realisation of tax revenues by introducing new taxpayers as a sign of the government's success in implementing the 1401 budget and realising its approved goals and policies.
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi appeared in the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Sunday morning to defend the budget bill of year 1402, and at the beginning of his speech, referring to the recent action of the European Parliament against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, he said, "This action is a reaction against the insight and vigilance of the Iranian nation in thwarting the enemy's recent conspiracy and sedition to bring chaos to Iran".
Stating that no other military force in the world has faced terrorism like the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the President added, "Both the military forces and the high political officials of the countries of the region and even the world recognise the important and decisive role of the IRGC, the Quds Force and General Qasem Soleimani in the fight against terrorism in the region".
Dr Raisi expressed gratitude to all the forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for decisively confronting the terrorists and stated, "The new brutal conspiracy of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution against our powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is a reaction to the revolutionary movement of our forces in the fight against terrorism, as well as a reaction to the vigilance and insight of the people of Islamic Iran is, as always, doomed to failure".
The President explained the performance of the budget of 1401, saying, "Considering the fact that at the beginning of the 13th Administration, we saw a growth rate of 4 percent, the Popular Administration tried to follow the year 1401 with economic growth, and today we are witnessing that with the efforts of various government departments, we have achieved a growth of 4%".
Ayatollah Raisi stated that the statistics indicate the growth of investment and the decrease of the inflation rate, and noted, "Today we are witnessing a growth of about 5 percent in the field of production and a growth of more than 5 percent in the field of production tools and equipment".
Referring to the statistics of employment growth and unemployment reduction, the President called it a sign of the realisation of the goals of the 1401 budget and the government's approved programmes and said, "The Popular Administration has been able to increase the export of oil and oil condensate despite all the sanctions and threats, and transfer the revenues from this export inside the country, which is proof of the success in neutralising and bypassing the sanctions".
Dr Raisi added, "The Popular Administration has also tried to avoid using the method of withdrawing from the treasury and don't use borrowing, which is considered a great success for the government".
The President stated, "At the beginning of the implementation of the law on the popularisation of subsidies, as the honourable members of the parliament are aware, the infrastructure for providing the electronic goods coupons, which should have been prepared in advance, was not ready, but with the serious efforts of the government, the necessary infrastructure was recently provided and the implementation of this law began in the provinces".
Ayatollah Raisi also referred to the government's efforts to maximise tax revenues and prevent tax evasion and stated, "The significant increase in tax revenues along with the increase in new tax payers indicates the government's success in achieving the goal of relying on tax revenues in the administration of the country".
