AhlulBayt News Agency: IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami on Tuesday called on those who insult the Islamic sanctities to remember the fate of Salman Rushdie.
He made the remarks in reaction to recently published cartoons by French publication Charlie Hebdo which insulted the Iranian and Muslim values.
Despaired and disappointed of their recent plots, the enemies are seeking to disturb the peace of mind of the Muslims by insulting their sanctities, Salami said.
He advised the insulters not to “play with the Muslims”, noting that Salman Rushdi was punished more than thirty years after he insulted the Holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam.
This is a lesson for those to know that no one can dare to insult the Islamic sanctities nowhere in the world, the commander said.
