AhlulBayt News Agency: Bahrain's leading Shia cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim has underscored that Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis are two great symbols of pure Islam.
The leader of Shia majority in Bahrain made the remarks in a commemoration ceremony on the occasion of the third martyrdom anniversary of the commanders of victory on Wednesday night, while addressing Bahraini expats in Qom city, Iran.
On the sublime position of martyrs, he noted that some martyrs come out in any time, who are the symbols of the greatness of Islam, and that martyrs Soleimani and al-Muhandis are exemplary of such great martyrs.
The two martyrs relied upon belief and self-sacrifice to bring big achievements for the Islamic Ummah, he added.
Many commanders succeed in their combats, but martyrs Soleimani and al-Muhandis are inspiring for nations and freedom-seeking groups, who bravely defend their dignity and rights; therefore, the two commanders have been called the commanders of victory, the sheikh noted.
Sheikh Isa Qassim urged nations to enhance the resistance movement and foil arrogant powers’ plots against the resistant fighters.
The ceremony was held in the presence of tens of Bahrainis residing in the religious city of Qom.
