AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Aleppo in northern Syria, the tribes and nomads of the city held various commemorations.
On December 14, 2016, the strategic city of Aleppo in northern Syria was completely freed from the occupation of the ISIS terrorist group with the help of General Qasem Soleimani, the chief commander of the Resistance Front.
Al-Baggara celebrated the sixth anniversary of the liberation of Aleppo from the occupation of multinational terrorists and also honored the memory of Qasem Soleimani.
Al-Baggara or Bakara is an Arab tribe of the Euphrates tribes spread widely between Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Türkiye.
Speakers stated that Aleppo was liberated with the resistance of the Syrian army and the support of friendly and allied countries.
The speakers also thanked the Iranians and Lebanon's Hezbollah for helping Syria liberate Aleppo.
A number of political and tribal figures of Aleppo in an interview with IranPress said that the liberation of Aleppo was achieved with the stand of the Syrian army, the tribes of Aleppo, and the support of the Iranian brothers.
General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by the former US President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
General Soleimani and his companions were highly popular because of their key role in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad at the official invitation of the Iraqi government.
