AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the fifth anniversary of the victory over Takfiri terrorism, the al-Nujaba Movement reviewed the hostilities and betrayals committed against Iraq and appreciated the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Martyr Soleimani as the most prominent supporters and friends of this nation.
According to the website of the representative office of al-Nujaba in Iran, the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, upon publishing a statement on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the defeat of the Daesh terrorist group, congratulated the martyrs, mujahidin [warriors], the marja’iyyah [religious authorities] and the Iraqi people on this great victory.
In this statement, reviewing the stages of the destructive project known as the “Daesh caliphate,” which obtained large amounts of foreign financial and logistical support, it is stated, “Our suffering people remember how the enemies fell to devour the lives of this nation during that period. They also remembered the lack of support and the betrayal of the brothers.”
The al-Nujaba Movement continued by pointing out that “the rise of Islamic Resistance in the form of the Popular Mobilization Forces led to a change in the equation” and noted, “The honourable children of the Iraqi nation, who voluntarily rose up in the ranks of the Popular Mobilization Forces, cannot forget those who stood by them in those difficult moments. The most prominent of them was the Islamic Republic of Iran and its wise leader Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Hoseyni-Khamenei (May his shadow last), who at that time did not spare any support and sent the brave commander of the Islamic Army, the Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani (may God bless him and grant him peace) to our aid. The brothers of Martyr Soleimani in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the righteous warriors of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, along with Martyr Haj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis (May God bless him and grant him peace), who was a brave field commander, the eternal martyr of Iraq, the Commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the architect of the victories achieved, are also unforgettable.”
In the next part of al-Nujaba’s statement, while recalling the stoning of hostile regimes on the path of confronting Takfiri terrorism, it is stated, “But due to the blindness of Iraq’s enemies, thanks to the blessing of Imam al-Mahdi (May God Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance), thanks to the blood of our righteous martyrs and the position of great religious authorities and zealous warriors, a clear victory was achieved, the army of darkness was defeated and everyone who stood behind them was confused by the slap of the Resistance and all their sinister plans were thwarted.”
The mentioned statement emphasized that “just being grateful is not enough to continue this victory, but rather you should try to protect morale, unity, a good reputation, firm belief and strengthen the relations between the Popular Mobilization Forces and friendly benevolent groups” and announced, “We use this great opportunity to renew our position in rejecting the occupation and believe that the most effective manner of dealing with it is the military option and there is no other solution.”
In conclusion, the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement made a pledge with God Almighty, Imam al-Mahdi (May God Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance), the great religious authorities and the children of the Islamic ummah to be a strong shield, an impenetrable fortress and a soldier always ready to defend against sedition and dangers, and on the path of exaltation, honour to strive for the progress and prosperity of Iraq.
