AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie on Saturday called on officials in southeastern Iran to make serious efforts to identify and arrest the perpetrators behind the killing of Sunni cleric Mowlavi Abdolvahed Rigi, who was the Friday prayer imam of the city of Khash.
Ejeie also offered his condolences over the martyrdom of Mowlavi Abdolvahed Rigi.
He ordered judiciary officials in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, where Khash city is located, to have utmost cooperation with intelligence, security and law enforcement units so that the perpetrators are brought to justice as soon as possible.
The judiciary chief said that enemies working against Iran’s unity have committed the crime against the cleric after they failed in their plots in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
Mowlavi Abdolvahed Rigi was found dead on a road near Khash on Friday, a day after he was kidnapped by unknown people while he was at a mosque.
Provincial officials said he had been shot in the head.
