Iran attending Russia’s International Islamic Forum

The 18th international Islamic forum hosted by Russia ended its two-day work on Friday marking the 1,100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the people of Volga Bulgaria and also the 1,400th anniversary of the Hijra of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on December 7-9, 2022.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran played a key role at the international Islamic forum held in the Russian capital Moscow titled “Justice and moderation: divine principles of world order”.

The 18th international Islamic forum hosted by Russia ended its two-day work on Friday marking the 1,100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the people of Volga Bulgaria and also the 1,400th anniversary of the Hijra of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on December 7-9, 2022.
 
Chaired by Mukhetdinov D. V., more than 150 Shia and Sunni scholars from 40 countries attended the meeting and over 100 articles on justice in Islam and the principles of world order were submitted to the secretariat of the event.
 
Members of Iranian delegation met with chairman of the Russian Muslim Council, Sheikh Ravil Ainuddin and a number of prominent religious figures from across the world of Islam and discussed ways for bilateral cooperation in the field of religion.
 
Participants to the event attended the 18th international Muslim forum on “Justice and moderation: divine principles of world order”, presentation of Medina publishing house and Diyanat book projects on Thursday morning.
 
The second part of the event was held in two meetings titled “Justifying Civilizational Pluralism in the Context of Abrahamic Interpretation of Moderation and Justice” and also “Religious dialogue as a necessary factor for the interreligious and intercultural harmony development”.
 
The meeting was organized by International Muslim Forum, Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and Moscow Islamic Institute in collaboration with co-organizers Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) and Iran’s Al-Mustafa International University.
 
Participants also attended the unity Friday prayer on the second day of the event as Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought delivered speech ahead of the communal prayer on necessity of solidarity in the world of Islam in the face of world arrogant powers, widely welcomed by Sunni worshipers.
 
Ibn Sina Foundation attended the exhibition held on the sideline of the meeting showcasing more than 350 books on Islamic science and philosophy.
 
Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raesi also sent a message addressing the Muslim scholars at the 18th International Islamic Forum and Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought delivered speech at the opening ceremony of the meeting.
