AhlulBayt News Agency: The spokesman of the Islamic Jihad Movement Tareq Silmi has said that welcoming the Israeli president in the capital of Bahrain constitutes a stab in the back of the Palestinian people.
In a press statement on Sunday, Silmi condemned the visit of president Isaac Herzog to Manama, affirming that welcoming him in any Arab or Islamic state is a great betrayal of the just Palestinian cause.
“Herzog's visit aims to provide a cover for the Israeli crimes,” spokesman Silmi charged, noting that Israel has been escalating its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and al-Quds.
Silmi hailed the Bahraini people’s rejection of the Israeli president’s visit, calling on all the Arab and Muslim nations to resist normalization with Israel.
Earlier today, Herzog was welcomed to the Al-Qudaibiya Palace in Manama in a State Welcoming Ceremony with an honor guard.
