AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has emphasized the need for maintaining the security of diplomatic places in Afghanistan and condemned recent terrorist attacks on the Afghanistan Hezbi Islami (Islamic Party).
The Iranian embassy twitted on Saturday that the latest terrorist attacks on Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul and Hizb-i Islami Afghanistan (the Islamic Party of Afghanistan) are categorically condemned.
The Afghanistan caretaker government is expected to take the necessary measures in a bid to prevent similar incidents and improve security situation of the diplomatic centers, the embassy urged.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani also issued a statement vehemently censuring the armed attack on the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kabul.
Kanaani expressed concern about the continuation of terrorist attacks on innocent Afghan civilians, slamming the recent attack on a school in Samangan Province as well as the most recent raid on the headquarters of the Hizb-i Islami Afghanistan.
The continuation of terrorist attacks will end up in insecurity of Afghanistan, which is in contradiction to the interests of the Afghan people and other regional nations, he warned.
The Iranian official also called for expansion of regional cooperation to pursue effective confrontation in the face of terrorism.
Local sources reported that following an explosion that hit a religious school in Aybak nearly 16 students of the school were killed and 27 more were injured on Wednesday.
