Two Palestinian resistance fighters martyred in armed clashes with Zionist forces in Jenin

Two Palestinian resistance fighters were shot dead at dawn Thursday during armed clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jenin refugee camp, north of the West Bank.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Two Palestinian resistance fighters were shot dead at dawn Thursday during armed clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jenin refugee camp, north of the West Bank.

The Jenin Brigade, an affiliate of al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad, announced that its commander Mohamed as-Saadi and another commander from al-Aqsa Brigades called Naeem Zubeidi were killed at dawn in a “cowardly assassination operation” that was carried out by the IOF in Jenin camp.

Local sources explained that a large number of Israeli troops stormed at an early morning hour Jenin City and its camp from different directions, positioned themselves in the camp’s streets and on rooftops of some homes, and clashed with resistance fighters.

They said that resistance fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers, who encircled a house in Jenin camp, adding that two of the fighters, Saadi and Zubeidi, were killed and many others suffered from injuries during the armed confrontations.

Meanwhile, two young men identified as Wisam Fayed and Omar Taleb were kidnaped after the IOF surrounded their homes in al-Hadaf area in Jenin camp, while two others were kidnaped after a military vehicle hit them as they were aboard a motorcycle, according to the same sources.

The Jenin Brigade, for its part, affirmed its fighters showered an Israeli military force in al-Hadaf area with a hail of bullets and attacked a number of IOF vehicles at the camp’s gate with some explosive devices.

The two young martyrs were the seventh and eighth Palestinians killed in the occupied West Bank in less than three days.

Accordingly, the death toll of the Palestinians martyred since the beginning of the current year rose to 209 citizens, 50 of them from Jenin.

One was killed in clashes with Israeli troops in the northern West Bank town of Ya’bad on Wednesday afternoon. Four Palestinians were killed in clashes with the IOF throughout the West Bank on Tuesday and another Palestinian was killed after carrying out a car-ramming attack that seriously wounded a soldier that same day.
