AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri has said that self-reliance is the only way to reach real independence and honor.
The major general made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the national knowledge-based technological exhibition of Basij in Tehran on Tuesday, noting that the experiences of last 43 years show that self-reliance and self-sufficiency is the only way, which can bring real independence and honor to the country, and that Thank God, the exhibition showcases the Iranians are taking important steps to this end.
In different sections of the exhibition, we have seen numerous innovations, he said, adding that the Basiji forces have succeeded in manufacturing many imported products of better quality and price, while they paid heed to environmental aspects as well as a decrease of energy consumption.
Some government apparatus as well as factories have utilized the Basij-made products, while there are still several other sectors, which can use them, he noted.
The chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces went on to say that he urges all producers as well as private and public companies to visit the exhibition and sign contracts with the knowledge-based firms, noting that the armed forces and the Basij Organization will facilitate the cooperation.
We use many of the equipment and capabilities in the armed forces, Bagheri said, emphasizing that he will order his entities to make use of the achievements more than ever in order to promote confidence-building in this respect.
