Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi had a trip to Jask city on Sunday, during which he attended the gathering of commanders, officers and families of martyrs and employees of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, and congratulated the proud day of the Navy, and said, "The Navy of the Army is protecting business and the economy today in the very important region and the strategic port of Jask".
Emphasising the need for the prosperity and development of shipping lines and fleets of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President referred to the history of pirate attacks in the region and stated, "Since our navy has gained an effective presence in the region, shipping security has been established and trade has flourished, and this great success is not only related to the officers and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy and Army, but also the result of the patience and companionship of their families, and I would like to express my appreciation for the patience of your families".
The President stressed, "The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, by achieving the production of advanced and sophisticated weapons, in addition to providing security and peace to its neighbours, also have a message of peace and security, but if the slightest threat is directed at the nation, the country and the holy land of the Islamic Republic, there will be a reaction that will remain in history and will teach an unforgettable lesson to the enemy".
In another part of his speech, Dr Raisi addressed the numerous young people present at the ceremony and said, "Be proud of your fathers, of Iran, of the martyrs, and of our honourable leader.
Today, the Islamic Republic has many honours that made the enemy angry. For 43 years, the enemy has planned to return their rule to this country, but because of your ready spirit, it has not been able to and will not be able to do so again".
Referring to the constructive role played by the Navy in the prosperity of Jask, Ayatollah Raisi added, "With the continuation of the revolutionary efforts of the government and the armed forces, the capacities of the active region and the current problems will be solved".
