AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) released on Monday senior Hamas officials Jamal at-Taweel and Adnan Hamarsha.
According to local sources, the IOA released 60-year-old Jamal at-Taweel, a resident of Bireh City, after being administratively detained for 18 months in Negev jail.
Taweel had been kidnaped from outside his home in Bireh City in June 2021 a few months after his release from an Israeli jail, where he spent about eight months of administrative detention.
Taweel had spent a total of 17 years in different Israeli jails since 1989. His wife was also kidnaped in 2010 and jailed for one year.
The Israeli occupation forces also kidnaped his daughter Bushra last March before a military court ordered her administrative detention. She had been arrested and jailed multiple times since 2011.
Meanwhile, the IOA released Adnan Hamarsha, a 57-year-old from Ya’bad town in Jenin, after spending eight months in administrative detention.
Hamarsha was kidnaped on March 3, 2022 and later a military court okayed a request filed by the Israeli intelligence for his administrative detention.
He had been arrested and jailed several times before since 1988. He served a total of 14 years in jail, including 10 years administratively. Most of his family members, including his wife, were exposed to detention.
He suffers from many health issues, including hemiplegia (partial paralysis).
