AhlulBayt News Agency: The Kremlin spokesman on Wednesday denied any agreement regarding the meeting of Bashar Assad and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the presidents of the Republic of Syria and Turkey, in Russia.

Dimitry Peskov's words are expressed hours after Erdogan announced the possibility of his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday evening.

After the end of the parliament meeting, Erdoğan answered a question about the possibility of meeting with the President of Syria and said: "I may meet with Assad, there is no permanent enmity in politics, eventually we will take steps forward."

Earlier, the Turkish newspaper "Hurriyet" reported that the president of Türkiye is willing to meet with Assad if he participates in the Shanghai summit.

News sources also revealed that the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service and the head of the Syrian National Security Bureau met in Moscow under the supervision of Russia. Turkish sources describe it as natural and in line with the possibility of restoring relations between the two sides.
