Senior Iranian Shia cleric offers condolence over passing of Pakistani Sunni cleric

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought issued message on Monday to express condolence following passing of the director of Karachi Dar-ul-Ulum.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought issued message on Monday to express condolence following passing of the director of Karachi Dar-ul-Ulum.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his condolatory message, called Maulana Muhammad Rafi Usmani, grand Deobandi mufti and director of Pakistan’s Dar-ul-Ulum in Karachi.
 
Top Iranian Shia cleric called the late Pakistani scholar as an efficient researcher and a pioneer of Islamic movement in Pakistan who has left several books to remain the everlasting legacy and light to lead his students and followers.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted,” The precious contributions of late Muhammad Rafi Usmani in Pakistan’s council of scholars, Islamic ideologic council, moon observation committee, Zakat council of Sindh and particularly Dar-ul-Ulum.”
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought vowed that endeavors by the late scholar for promoting the moral of unity and fraternity among Muslims in Pakistan and across the globe will continue by his students and followers.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari extended sympathy with the bereaved family of late Maulana Muhammad Rafi Usmani, the scientific community, Pakistani nation and scholars across the world of Islam.
 
Muhammad Rafi Usmani (1936-2022) was a Pakistani Muslim scholar, jurist and author who served as the President of Dar-ul-Ulum Karachi. He was also an alumnus of Dar-ul-Ulum, University of Punjab and Dar-ul-Ulum Deoband.
 
He authored books including Ahkām-e-Zakāt, Al-Tālīqāt al-nāfi'ah alā fath al-mulhim, Islām mai aurat ki hukmrāni and Nawādir al-Fiqh.
