AhlulBayt News Agency: Several Palestinian citizens were injured on Monday during a raid by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in al-Khader Playground south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
“IOF soldiers broke into the al-Khader playground through its outward yard as a soccer tournament was underway,” director of the playground, Yousef Sayel, said in a press statement.
He added that the soldiers fired tear gas bombs at the stadium and the pitch, causing breathing problems to a number of players and audience.
In a related incident, the IOF arrested a Palestinian young man at a military checkpoint east of the West Bank city of Qalqilya, according to local sources.
They identified the Palestinian young man as Ali Husein, 32, from Azzun village, adding that his vehicle was confiscated while he was passing through a checkpoint near the crossroads of Nabi Ilyas village east of Qalqilya.
