AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Sunday calling on the Iraqi central government, as well as the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to fulfill their commitments in ensuring the security of the common borders with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement comes after the IRGC missile and drone operations against the anti-Iranian separatist groups based in Iraqi Kurdistan Region earlier in the day.
It said that the IRGC attacks followed the “inactions and obvious and sometimes deliberate neglect” of the authorities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region in dealing with these terrorist groups.
The statement added that the security inside Iran and at the common borders is a redline of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the country will not tolerate the continuation of this situation.
