Iran President: Exactly like sanctions, destabilizing ploys of foes failed

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed on Thursday that the enemies’ plan to sow unrest in Iran has failed, just like the plan of harsh sanctions on the country.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed on Thursday that the enemies’ plan to sow unrest in Iran has failed, just like the plan of harsh sanctions on the country.

Raisi made the statement on Thursday during a visit to Pakdasht, a city in southeast of Tehran.

The enemy committed the mistakes of sanctioning and destabilizing Iran, both of which failed, the president stressed.

“The adversary wants the hope of the people to turn into despair, and the enemy does not want our nation to advance,” Raisi said, adding that “the enemy does not want Iran to advance and its scientists to reach the pinnacles of science. In the same way as the enemy's sanctions and destabilization policies failed, so did their efforts to exert the most pressure.”

The president added, "We thwarted the enemy's strategy by nullifying the sanctions."

Raisi also said the Iran has boosted oil exports in comparison to the period before the introduction of sanctions.

“They intended to isolate Iran, but instead they secluded themselves.”

He added chaos and unrest failed to slow down the plan to serve the people.

Efforts to slow down Iran’s progress “was just an illusion,” the president remarked.

“The enemy was trying to implement in the country the same scenario that it implemented in other countries, but it was unaware that it is making yet another strategic mistake because its policy of sanctions and destabilizing the country has failed once again,” the president stated, adding, “The enemy tried to halt the country's progress and began disrupting security.”

The president was directly referring to the provocative moves by countries hostile to Iran to use the tragic death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, as a pretext to destabilize Iran.
