AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian government spokesman announced a 25% increase in domestic production licenses, self-sufficiency in the production of 500 products and a 6.2% growth in the production of petrochemical products since the beginning of the current Iranian year (starting from March 21).
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Ali Bahadori Jahromi said: "In the first year of the current administration, we had 6,000 megawatts of new electricity production capacity, which is the best record after Iran's Islamic Revolution."
Jahromi condoled the martyrdom of a number of compatriots in the Shah Cheragh shrine terrorist incident and the death of some other compatriots in the recent riots, noting: "The enthusiastic gathering of people in the funeral of those who lost their lives in the terrorist incidents and martyrs of defending the security and opposing the chaos shows that the people rejected the all-out efforts of the enemies against this nation despite all their intelligence, security and espionage capabilities and will not allow the enemies to abuse the legitimate demands of the people".
Congratulating Students' Day, the government spokesman added: "We hope that these days will be an opportunity to recount US's crime against Iran, which is trying to create obstacles in the path of people's growth with cruel sanctions and spreading lies."
Bahadori Jahormi further announced the appointment of Mohsen Mansouri as the vice president for executive affairs and said: "This way, another young man was added to the administration. Mr. Mansouri has been the Governor-General of Tehran and has had a successful management experience; he was elected as the Executive Vice President by the decree of the President."
