AhlulBayt News Agency: A competition on memorization of the Hadiths of Holy Prophet will be held for Muslims in Thailand early next year.
The Saudi ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance will organize the contest in January 2023.
This was announced by the head of the organizing committee and representative of the Sheikhul Islam of Thailand.
He said applications for participation in the competition can be submitted by November 10, 2022.
It will be held in four regions of southern, northern, eastern and central Thailand, with the preliminary round slated for January 7-10, and the finals for January 17-19.
The final round will be held in Bangkok, the capital of the Southeast Asian country.
The categories include memorization of 200 Hadiths, memorization of 140 Hadiths and memorization of 80 Hadiths.
Thailand is a country at the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia.
Muslims are the second largest religious group in Thailand making up about five percent of the country’s population.
