Iranian ambassador presents Quranic calligraphy works to top Serbian museums

Iran’s diplomatic mission in Belgrade has presented two works of Quranic calligraphy to two top museums in Serbia.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s diplomatic mission in Belgrade has presented two works of Quranic calligraphy to two top museums in Serbia.

Iran’s ambassador to Belgrade Rashid Hasanpour as well as Iran’s cultural attache in the country Amir Pourpezeshk visited two museums in the Serbian capital, namely the National Museum and Adligat Book and Travel Museum.

During the meetings, the Iranian delegation offed an original book of Quranic calligraphy made by artist Alireza Akrami to the Serbian centers.

The meetings came on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Bojana Boric Breskovic, director National Museum in Belgrade, appreciated the valuable present. She lauded the rich culture and civilization of Iran, noting that cooperation with Iranian cultural centers has been a source of pride.

For his part, Hasanpour touched upon cultural ties between the two nations, saying that the Iranian mission is eager to use every opportunity to enhance cultural and artistic ties with the Serbian National Museum.

The diplomats also met and held talks with Viktor Lazić, founder and president of the Society for Culture, Art and International Cooperation Adligat.

Lauding the calligraphy work, Lazić said it will be put on display at the book museum of the center.
