Iranian Sunni cleric: Monotheism, avoiding differences, ways to achieve Islamic unity

Akhoond Abdul Jalil Farahmand, professor at Sunni seminaries in Golestan province said what the monotheistic culture teaches to all Muslims is to avoid differences.
 
He referred to Qur’anic verses calling people to know and love the high character of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and said,” Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the beginning of acquaintance and knowledge, and the cause of awakening; and he also keeps us away from discord, polytheists and arrogance.”
 
 
The cleric called the prophet of Islam a role model for life and action of all Muslims and also the cause of awakening in the world of Islam.
 
One of the points that the Holy Prophet taught us, was that we must work hard to achieve awakening and follow him. The Prophet is our model in love, science and knowledge.
 
Senior Sunni cleric praised the prophet of Islam for introducing the tree of knowledge to all people, freeing them form division and inviting all to the divine revelations.
 
“Islam says that all Muslims, regardless of their orientation, should gather around the axis of one Allah, one book, and one Prophet” and added,” It means a path to unity.”
 
Akhoond Abdul Jalil Farahmand noted,” If we want to put unity in the world of Islam, at the top of our agenda, we must gather around the axis of one God, one book, and one Prophet.”
 
professor at Sunni seminaries in Golestan province warned of discord among people which distances them and ultimately leads to separation while difference leads them to study and know each other.
