AhlulBayt News Agency: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (provinces of Pakistan) Ministry of Education has issued orders to withdraw controversial Islamic books from children.
After the protest speech in front of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the KP government took action on the curriculum issue. With regard to the blasphemous content in some textbooks of Islamiyat, a meeting with the scholars of different schools of thought was held by the Education Secretary, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and assured to take strict legal action against those are responsible.
Shia and Sunni scholars met the Education Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and expressed their concerns over the publication of obscene material in the new Islamic textbooks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On this occasion, the officials of the education department assured to correct the mistakes on an emergency basis and to take action against those responsible.
The Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education told the scholars that the provincial government will not tolerate any mistake in the textbooks which will hurt the sentiments of the citizens belonging to any religion or school of thought.
Education Secretary assured that whoever is found responsible in the inquiry, strict action will be taken against him according to the law.
