Iran's Foreign Minister appreciated the Iraqi nation and government for hospitality toward the Arbaeen March pilgrims, including the Iranians.

As it has been classified as the hugest human congregation throughout history, according to the local religious authorities, 21,198,640 pilgrims marked Arbaeen in the Holy City of Karbala this year. This number indicates that the religious congregation reflects several political messages that need to be highlighted.

Arbaeen rally is truly an unprecedented event, not only in our times but also in history. We do not know of any similar gathering in history which is organized more warmly every year. It is unprecedented.

In a tweet on Sunday, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, wrote: "This year's Arbaeen rituals once again showed that the Iranian and Iraqi nations enjoy an unbreakable connection."

Amir-Abdollahian added: "We sincerely appreciate all the people of Iraq and the Iraqi government and armed forces for hosting Iranian and non-Iranian pilgrims of Arbaeen."

Pilgrims from different parts of the world arrive in Iraq to participate in the evemost significantst event in the world, Arbaeen March, walking toward the holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala city.
