AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At the closing ceremony of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the final statement of the Commission for Media and Cyberspace of the Africa-Arab, Europe-Americas, and Asia-Oceania regions was read.
On the achievement of the commission, Mr. Nasser Al-Khazraji said, “From the beginning of the 3rd millennium so far, with the emergence and occurrence of cyberspace trends such as data mining, metaverse, blockchain, neuroscience, various and numerous media and virtual methods and approaches, including narrative creation, referencing, making fake content, creating mental anchors, making rumor and casting doubt, and using the technique of contraction and expansion of the discourse, are produced and implemented. So that in this space, all the affairs of life flow around the axis of the media and in the context of the cyberspace. These conditions make moving to virtual space more essential. Bearing in mind the several jurisprudential and theological foundations such as “principle of power”, “principle of reciprocity”, “principle of the necessity of rising for the right”, “principle of the prohibition of the path (of enemies to Muslim affairs)”, “the obligation of preaching”, this matter has more importance.
“It is the duty of all followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) school that with more attention, diligence, and maximum utilization of the capacity of this emerging space, to contribute and play their roles in realizing the main objective, i.e., preserving the Shiite identity and explaining the teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he continued.
“We must be vigilant that the media and cyberspace should be used of as a “general framework for problem transmission” based on the criteria of “human dignity”, “dialogue” and “rationality”. It is in this atmosphere that “major discourses” will be formed and the expansion of “Shiite discourse” will be realized,” he added.
Some of the clauses of the final statement of the commission that Mr. Al-Khazraji read, are as follows: launching the media awareness movement and improving the skills of missionaries, training and guiding young generation to produce content, creating trends and changes, formation think tanks on media and cyberspace issues, paying attention to the language in content creation and publishing, establishment of schools with virtual education capacity, using the domestic cyberspace and media infrastructures, holding regional sessions with the presence of university professors and elites and effective activists of media and cyberspace, introducing successful models of media and cyberspace for local Assemblies and coordinators.
