Brazilian author has slammed Israeli authorities over aggressive policies stressing resistance as the sole way to maintain honor for the oppressed Palestinian nation.
Sayid Marcus Tenorio, historian and specialist in international relations, in an interview called the resistance as the sole way to maintain honor of Palestine stressing that Israeli regime has no right to claim possession of the Palestinian lands.
He noted the issue of Palestine as the key problem in the world of Islam and added,” To defend humanity, freedom and a decent life was very important to me and the very objective motivated me to write the book “Palestine: From Legend of Promised Land to Land of Resistance.”
Brazilian Muslim convert noted that not much content was published in his country, a reason that moved him to write a book on the subject in a bid to provide his countrymen with a simple narration of the issue of Palestine and also a reference for the university students and scholars.
He reiterated that the Palestinian people’s defense from their land is not in vain and that his book aims to show the Brazilians that this is a sacred defense rather than a permanent religious war.
“In fact, there is no war between Islam and Judaism in Palestine” said the political activist and added,” However Brazilian media have imposed quite the opposite picture to us and I have reiterated in my book that Israeli regime has no right to claim the Palestinian lands.” The historian referred to background of the Middle East criticizing that,” The problem began when the United Nations authorized disintegration of Palestine back in 1948.”He said,” The meeting which authorized disintegration of Palestinian lands was chaired by a Brazilian named “Osvaldo Aranha” who did so under the pressure from American-Zionist lobby although the Braziliangovernment opposed the decision.”
Muslim author detailed the inspirations behind writing the book in support of the Palestinian people and said,” I have proved, in my book, that the present Jewish settlers have no relations with those living in Palestine and this has all been a plan to loot the assets of Palestinian people.”
He hailed the decision by late Imam Khomeini (RA) in naming the last Friday in the holy month of Ramadan as “International Quds Day” and said his book simply proves the rights of Palestinian people to defend their ancestral land.
The message of my book is that resistance is the sole way through which the Palestinian nation can maintain its honor.
“In my book I have mentioned the 2017 speech by Supreme Leader in support of Palestine and also remarks by the late founder of Islamic Revolution with the theme of Palestine” he said.
The book was published in late 2019 and early days of the pandemic infection which barred introduction of the book to public. Republished in 2022, the book has been unveiled in Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Recife.
