The Department between the Two Holy Shrines at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provides exceptional services to receive visitors of the Arba'een.
"The department started early this year to receive the visitors of Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) as most of them could not perform this Ziyarat in the past two years due to the pandemic," said the head of the Department; Sayed Nafi' Ni'ma al-Mousawi.
"We are working on two aspects, the first of which is security, which is to provide security for visitors through the Joint Security Division, and the Control Division to maintain order in the Old City," he added.
"As for the service side, it is represented by a set of water basin trucks, in addition to other specilized vehicles that work around the clock to serve visitors and Hussaini processions," al-Mousawi continued.
Regarding the number of volunteers this year, al-Mousawi said, "We have about a thousand employees in the department, but these numbers are not enough for the number of arrivals to the city, about 3000 volunteers have been added who work 24 hours a day to serve visitors".
According to the head of the department, "the staff of the department removes hundreds of tons of waste every day, in addition to providing services to hussayni processions from providing water and electricity, as well as placing separations on the main roads to organize the movement of visitors".
