AhlulBayt News Agency: The Host Restaurant Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine began implementing its plan prepared for the Ziyarat Arba'een.
"We started preparing dry and refrigerated foodstuffs in open quantities in anticipation of the density of visitors,"said Alaa Abdul Hussein, administrative assistant to the head of the Department.
He added that "foreign visitors arrived in Karbala earlier this year, which necessitated working according to the prepared plan and distributing 15 thousand meals, starting from the fifth day of the month of Safar".
The department provides food to visitors on three meals a day, according to Abdul Hussein, noting that "the estimated number during the Ziyarat Arba'een reaches (15) thousand meals a day, which is subject to increase".
As for the distribution mechanism, Abdul Hussein explained, "the department-as usual in major Ziyarats - has opened its external outlets, and their number increases as the Ziyarat approaches its peak," adding, "the distribution process is three meals, the first in the morning and the second after the adhan of Dhohr and Asr, and the third meal after the Maghreb and Isha prayers, according to queues dedicated to men and others to women."
