AhlulBayt News Agency: The staff of the engineering maintenance and construction department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine contributed to the maintenance and development work on Al-Jumhuriya (Republic) Street in preparation for the Ziyarat Arba'een.
Engineer Zayd Aqeel Abbas, the project manager, said that "the staff of our department, under the guidance of the general secretariat, had an effective contribution to the development of the Republic Street project, as their work included laying RO and filtered water pipes, as well as sanitary water pipes, in addition to installing (146) sprinkler fans distributed on the columns on the said Street, in order to soften the atmosphere, especially with the approach fo the Ziyarat Arba'een".
"As for the operating system, it consists of (14) water pumps, as well as tanks with a total capacity of fifty thousand liters, and the main source of water is the Bazi station," he explained.
"From the security point of view, the street was provided with surveillance cameras by the Imam al-Hussain and al-Abbas (p) holy shrines, as well as the province of Karbala," Abbas said, stressing that "the works were completed according to technical and engineering specifications with the use of the finest types on the market."
