Imam Reza (a.s.) birth anniversary programs at Razavi shrine announced

Imam Reza holy shrine has organized 14 special religious programs on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Imam Reza (AS) and his sister Hazrat Masumah (SA), meant to create public happiness and promote awareness on their life and conduct.

“Holy Prophet Courtyard of the shrine will be a scene of “Rezvan Glory” celebrations for nine nights,” said Hossein Shariatinejad, deputy head of the General Directorate for Islamic Ideology Dissemination, adding “Quran and eulogy recitations, poem readings, and different programs introducing Imam Reza’s (AS) character are some programs of these celebrations”.

He added: “Graves of martyrs buried in Imam Reza shrine will be covered by flowers on the birthday of Hazrat Masumah (SA). Also, a special program will be held for female teenagers on the same day”.

Shariatinejad further informed that the first gathering of young and adolescent boys, active in religious affairs of the complex known as “Sons of Imam Reza (AS)” will mark the beginning of this ten-day celebrations.

According to him, running different study stations and offering various cultural services to the people with disabilities in cooperation with Mashhad Municipality are among other cultural programs on the occasion.

Touching upon the importance of ‘Jihad of elaboration’ for Imam Reza shrine’s officials, Shariatinejad noted: “Ten meetings titled “Imam Reza’s political and social school” special for the elite, will be held every day in Jomhuri Eslami Courtyard of the holy shrine”.

Concluding his remarks, the official said: “Celebrations will come to end by holding special program of ‘Rezvan Glory’ on the night of Imam Reza’s birth anniversary and in the presence of custodians of Iran and Iraq’s holy shrines”.
