Reason for Arrogance's wrath against clerics in history was their lead in educating population, fighting injustice

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President said that the reason why the Global Arrogance have always been angry with clerics throughout the history is that they took lead in the field of educating the population and fighting injustice. He said, "Doing this great job requires fear from God and clerics did not fear anything other than God in exercising what religion tells them".

In a speech that was broadcast in the form of a video conference at the National Congress of Cleric Martyrs in Qom, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi described the sending of a messenger and the ejaculation of a book as a sign of God Almighty's mercy and said: "The great clerics always thought only of their duty and considered it a divine duty to do their duty and be with the people. Therefore, we have seen the clergy alongside the people in all the hardships, and even in the most difficult days of the corona outbreak, we saw how the clerics and seminaries did the hardest things".

The President continued, "The reason why the Global Arrogance have always been angry with clerics throughout the history is that they took lead in the field of educating the population and fighting injustice. Doing this great job requires fear from God and clerics did not fear anything other than God in exercising what religion tells them".

Dr Raisi said, "What we witnessed of jihad and the self-sacrifice of the clergy during the outbreak of coronavirus was a great lesson for all of us that we saw once again how clerics are present amongst the people".

The President added, "This is the secret that the clergy is in the hearts of the people today, despite all the rumours, slanders and insults".

Ayatollah Raisi said, "Parties and groups also make great efforts in the society, but the current that is in the hearts of the people today and the people feel that they are with them in all situations and are themselves in the forefront of events, they are clerics".

The President continued, "On the other hand, in matters of livelihood, if we want to see the situation of seminary students and clerics in the seminaries, the lowest amount of income in the country belongs to them".

Dr Raisi pointed out, "How did Yemen stand and resist for 7 years; This is thanks to the pure blood of the martyrs. Today, wherever we look in the world, thanks to the blood of the martyrs, we see their efforts in eliminating ignorance and solving the problems".

Referring to the interpretation of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution that the message of the martyrs is reverberating in space, the President said, "The message of the martyrs is to defend independence and freedom, practice religion, protect divine values, and stand against the enemies, building a country, solving the problems and troubles of the people, paying attention to the orders and instructions of the Supreme Leader, and protection of national unity".

He added, "In the cyberattack to fuel stations and in the subsidy reform plan, the enemies sought to create a chaos, but the vigilance, insight, and cooperation of the people with the government, along with their trust in the government, prevented the enemy from achieving their goals".

Addressing the families of the martyrs, clerics and professors, the President stated, "As in the case of corona, thanks to God, the number of death cases has decreased from 700 to less than 7. Today, with the help of God, the wise guidance of the Supreme Leader, the support of the people and all the elites and experts, despite the various factors affecting the price situation, including the conflicts in Ukraine, we can solve the problems of the people, especially in the field of livelihood".

Ayatollah Raisi pointed out, "The government does not consider the threats and sanctions of the enemy as an obstacle and does not tie the livelihood of the people and the progress of the country to the sanctions so that others can decide for us".

"We showed this in practice, and we told them in private meetings, and we announced in the official forums that our strategy is the strategy that the Supreme Leader has stated," he said.

The President continued, "The government is pursuing the lifting of sanctions, but more important than the efforts to lift the sanctions is the headquarters that we have set up to neutralise the sanctions and our colleagues and revolutionary forces are actively working in this field".

In another part of his speech, Dr Raisi said that today the main strategy of the enemy is to disappoint the people and the strategy of the Islamic system is to give hope to the people.

"Today, anyone who, willingly or unwillingly, does something tot disappoint the people has moved in the direction of the enemy's strategy," he said.

He continued, "On the other hand, anyone who takes any action to give hope to the people should know that he has moved in the direction of the strategy of the holy system of the Islamic Republic and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution".

The President added, "As a student, the more I spend my working life in the government, the more bright I see the future thanks to the pure blood of the martyrs".
