Ghaeminik added: “Having an understanding of connectivity of world issues makes question of Palestine clear. The Issue of Palestine is not limited to the struggles of the last 50 years; rather it is a historical issue. Even the issue of Zionism turns back to the 16th century”.
Abdollah, a Syrian cultural activist, also said: “The most important issue of ours is Quds and Palestine; if it were not for Palestine, Shireen Abu Akleh would not have been killed”.
He went on to say: “We have a holy responsibility in the Islamic world and our move is based on Quranic orders”.
Abdollah stated: “The world recognizes Shireen as a Christian but the Zionists are now claiming that Aljazeera correspondent cannot be considered a martyr. Such moves of the enemies show their infiltration among resistant front”.
“Looking at the headlines of the world media makes it clear that half of the world news is dedicated to the war in Ukraine,” said the Syrian activist, adding “Western media have turned a blind eye to the 74 years of crime and oppression against Palestinians, however”.
He also said: “Although we did not know Shireen, we had seen her works and news reports on Palestinians’ resistance”.
Quoting a famous sentence from Shireen, Mohammad, a Palestinian student at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, said: “Shireen always said: I may not be able to change the reality, but I try to be voice of the world people”.
Mohammad stressed: “Today, the media of the Islamic nations are weak and media empire of the enemies distorts the truths. It is duty of the Islamic media to have the voice of the oppressed people of Palestine heard”.
