AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An international conference on translation of the Quran was held at Damanhour University in Beheira Governorate of Egypt.
‘Translation of meanings of the Quran; Methodological Studies’ was the title of the conference, which concluded on Friday, al-Bawabh news reported.
Scholars, researchers and thinkers from a number of Arab and European countries attended the event.
At the end of the conference, the participants proposed the establishment of an electronic portal to promote the language of the Quran and Quran translation.
They also urged launching a scholarly project on methodological study of Quran translation.
Holding a conference on translation of Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and producing correct translations of the meanings of the Quran in all the languages of the world, a translation that expresses the moderation of Islam were among the other proposals at the scholarly event.
They further called for fighting poverty via the Quranic discourse and enhancing the capabilities of scholars an preachers.
