AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Palestinian journalists on Thursday organized a rally in front of the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul in protest against Israel’s killing of Shireen Abu Akleh, the Al Jazeera correspondent in Palestine while she was covering the Israeli occupation forces storming of Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on Wednesday.

“The rally was organized to condemn the Israeli bloody crime against our colleague Shireen Abu Akleh,” the office manager of Al Jazeera Media Network in Turkey Abdul Azim Mohammed told Quds Press, affirming that this brutal crime must not go unpunished.

For his part, the Palestinian journalist Abdullah Al-Saafin told Quds Press that targeting Abu Akleh premeditatedly is an attempt to curb her influence. He added that the Israeli assassination of Abu Akleh will not prevent Palestinian journalists from covering Israel’s crimes.

Al Jazeera Media Network in a statement on the crime held the Israeli occupation forces accountable for their intentional targeting and killing of Shireen, confirming that an Israeli sniper killed her intentionally and cold-bloodedly.
