AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs announced the dispatch of about 40,000 Iranian pilgrims to the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Hojat al-Islam Sayed Abdul Fattah Navab, Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, announced on Thursday that 39,600 people would be sent on the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
The Saudi health ministry had earlier said that the coronavirus vaccine is a must to participate in this year's Hajj. On 9 April 2022, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that one million international and domestic pilgrims would be permitted to perform Hajj 1443H.
Each country will be allocated a quota of pilgrims allowed to perform Hajj 1443H.
Pilgrims must be under the age of 65 years, have received COVID-19 vaccinations approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, and have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the time of departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The approximate dates for Hajj 1443H in 2022 are 7 to 12 July.
