Pres. Raisi: Martyr Motahari's thought is basis of Islamic Revolution

The Iran President said that paying attention to the teachings of Martyr Motahari as one of the best ways to protect society against the evil propaganda of the enemies of Islam and the Revolution and said, "Martyr Motahari is a teacher of the Revolution and with his mastery in philosophy, theology, jurisprudence and politics, he played the most important role in the formation of the intellectual bases of the Islamic Revolution".

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Iran President said that paying attention to the teachings of Martyr Motahari as one of the best ways to protect society against the evil propaganda of the enemies of Islam and the Revolution and said, "Martyr Motahari is a teacher of the Revolution and with his mastery in philosophy, theology, jurisprudence and politics, he played the most important role in the formation of the intellectual bases of the Islamic Revolution".

Speaking on Sunday in a meeting with members of the Headquarters for Commemorating the Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Martyr Motahari, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi called him a revolutionary jurist, philosopher, mystic and politician and said, "Martyr Motahari's thought is the basis of the Islamic Revolution and today we can use the capacity of his words, thoughts and teachings in order to expand and explain the teachings of the Islamic Revolution".

The President described responding to doubts and scepticism as one of the important features of Martyr Motahari, and said, "Martyr Motahari had a thorough understanding of his time and the issues of society".

Dr Raisi added, "One of the mental complexities that the enemy is still challenging with today is the issue of women and family, and Martyr Motahari has also offered a solution in this regard".

Emphasising that the principles of Martyr Motahari's thought are not time-oriented and he is always alive, the President said, "The secret of the permanence of Martyr Motahari's thoughts is that he knew the society and its needs and provided intellectual, cultural and ideological prescriptions accordingly".
Mr Raisi clarified, "By studying the works of Master Motahari, it is felt that he was not martyred at all and is alive; because his thinking and legacy are alive".

Appreciating the services and efforts of the scientific and cultural foundation of Martyr Motahari, the President said, "The works of Martyr Motahari should be collected and addressed by academics, seminarians and intellectuals".

Dr Raisi also pointed out the importance of translating Master Motahari's books into different languages, and said, "We should try to make Martyr Motahari's works more visible in the intellectual life of societies".

In the end, the President described the works of Martyr Motahari as a complete guide in the field of Islamic thought and noted, "Martyr Motahari is the great teacher of the Revolution and his thoughts can be effective in removing all scepticisms that may arise in the minds of society about the principles of the Revolution".
