Third night of Laylat al-Qadr held at Tehran's Imamzadeh Saleh

The third night of Qadr, the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan, was held at the Imamzadeh Saleh (AS) in Tehran's Tajrish neighborhood.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The third night of Qadr, the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan, was held at the Imamzadeh Saleh (AS) in Tehran's Tajrish neighborhood.

The third night of Laylat al-Qadr coincides with the night of April 24 to 25, the 23rd day of Ramadan.

It is believed to be the night when the Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the world and the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

According to the Islamic sources at hand, it is inevitable that the Night of Qadr was not exclusive to the time of the Prophet (s) and the region of the Hijāz. It is something that will continue forever and in all lands.

On this night, people stay up and read the Quran and pray to God above. According to Holy Quran, the angels and the spirit descend on this night by God's permission, and this night is better than 1000 regular months of the year. The Muslims believe that during Qadr night, every man's destiny for the next year is determined.

Last night on this occasion, Islamic Iran was in black, and the Iranian people mourned the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS), the first Imam of the world's Shia Muslims.
