Imam Hussan and al-Abbas holy shrines hold first annual festival on birth of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (+Photos)

On Saturday evening (14th of the holy month of Ramadhan 1443 AH) corresponding to April 16, 2022, the first festival of the birth of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), was held by the secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in cooperation with the people of Karbala, in celebration of the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Saturday evening (14th of the holy month of Ramadan 1443 AH) corresponding to April 16, 2022, the first festival of the birth of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), was held by the secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in cooperation with the people of Karbala, in celebration of the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him).

The ceremony witnessed the presence of the secretary-general of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtadha Dea Uddin, the deputy secretary-general of the Imam al-Hussayn’s (p) holy shrine; Dr. Alaa Ahmad, a number of officials of the holy shrines and a large gathering of the people of Karbala, sponsors of its processions, in addition to visitors.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by Adel Karbalai, followed by the recitation of Surah al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the speech of the two holy shrines delivered by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtadha Dea Uddin, in which he explained the merits of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) who should be a role model for us.

The ceremony then witnessed the delivery of poems, songs and religious Muwashahat celebrating this anniversary, showing the extent of love and attachment to the Holy Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
