AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, through its public relations and host restaurant departments, has started its annual program of holding Iftar banquets of the holy month of Ramadhan for orphaned children and their families, as part of a schedule prepared for this purpose in coordination with the bodies and institutions that sponsor them.
Adel al-Hamami, head of the host restaurant Department, stated: "this event of the holy month of Ramadhan is carried out every season based on the directives of the general secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in order to contribute to the consolidation of the principle of strengthening the bonds of compassion and communication between members of society, especially the category of orphans, especially in this holy month, which has had a great impact in drawing smiles on the faces of orphans and their families".
"We allocated space within the host halls, to host orphans and their families amid the welcoming expressions of staff of the host restaurant Department, who gave them their Iftar meals from the blessings of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him),"he added.
In the same context, the official of the Public Relations and internal coordination Division in the Public Relations Department of the holy shrine, Mr. Rasul Naji, explained that" the public relations department is keen to establish such programs and events, investing in the holy month of Ramadhan to show a kind of interest and social solidarity for this group, by drawing a smile on the faces of orphans and their families, "pointing out that "caring for orphans is important and has a great importance to God Almighty".
"We have prepared for this program a schedule that includes most of the orphans in the Holy province of Karbala, according to special days where they are hosted," he said, noting that "the Iftar banquet was attended by a large number of orphans and their families, and we continue to hold this event throughout the holy month.”
The orphans and their families expressed their joy at this generous gesture by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, extending their thanks and appreciation to them, praying the Almighty God to accept their work.
