AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, the IRGC, has praised the assassinated top general Qassem Soleimani for his wisdom and braveness during military missions.
Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, who is the commander of the IRGC Ground Force, was speaking on Wednesday in the city of Kerman, southeast of the country, during the inaugural ceremony of the new commander of Sarallah 41st Division.
He said that Lieutenant General Soleimani shouldered responsibilities and was very brave during military missions.
Pakpour added that many of the missions were easily conducted through General Soleimani’s courage and wisdom.
He also hailed his role in fighting terrorism in southeast Iran.
General Soleimani was martyred in a US drone attack near Iraq’s capital Baghdad on January 3, 2020.
The top commander played a great role in combating terrorist groups in West Asia, including Daesh.
Five days after Martyr Soleimani’s assassination, Iran conducted missile attacks at a US airbase in western Iraq, in retaliation.
