AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Funeral of Shahid Yusuf Muhammad Zaria took place on 11th of April 2022.
The prayer was led by Sheikh Abdulhameed Bello.
Parents, brothers and sisters of deceased as well as well wisher bid farewell to the martyr.
The martyr was laid to rest at Darur Rahma Cemetry.
Yusuf was killed by the Nigerian police in Zaria during a pro Zakzaky protest yesterday the 10th of April 2022.
Office of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky issued following condolence message on martyrdom of Yusuf Muhammad:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ولا تحسبن الذين قتلوا في سبيل الله أمواتا ۚ بل أحياء عند ربهم يرزقون
A martyr was recorded yesterday and many sustained various degrees of injuries in Zaria yesterday during a protest staged by followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), demanding that the federal government release his passport and that of his wife, Mu'allima Zeenat Ibraheem Zakzaky to enable them to travel abroad for medical attention.
The martyr, Yusuf Muhammad was an active follower of Sheikh Zakzaky throughout his life.
It could be recalled that the federal high court in Kaduna had acquitted Sheikh Zakzaky (H), of all the criminal charges filed against him, clearing the way for his freedom, but the government has refused to release his passport despite the fact that he is free from any criminal charges.
