Ahlul Bayt News Agency: Iran has once again reiterated the significance of Palestine for all Muslim nations, rejecting any compromise with the apartheid regime of Israel on the Palestinian cause.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh made the comment in a post on his official twitter account on Tuesday after taking part in the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad, Pakistan.
"Palestine is & will remain top priority of Muslim world & no one can compromise on the cause w the apartheid regime of Israel," the official tweeted.
He also stressed the importance of reinforcing unity among Muslim nations in the face of crises in countries like Afghanistan and Yemen.
“From Yemen to Afghanistan the Islamic world's unity is the key to address the crises,” Khatibzadeh said.
The two-day high-level meeting of the OIC opened in Islamabad on Tuesday under the theme of "Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development". Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan delivered a keynote address at the inaugural session.
Khatibzadeh is participating in the forum at the head of a high-ranking delegation on behalf of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Earlier on Tuesday, the official held a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Iran has always emphasized that Palestine should be the foremost issue of the Muslim world and that all Muslim nations should strengthen their unity and establish stronger relations to counter the occupying regime of Israel.
