AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) In the commemoration of the innocent martyrs of the ISIL terrorist attack on the Imamia Mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, which was held on Saturday night, March 12, 2022, in the presence of Hojat al-Islam Marvi, Sajjad Mohammad Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Mashhad, servants and pilgrims of Imam Reza (a.s.) shrine, at the Imam Khomeini (r.a.) Portico, in his speech, while denouncing this heinous crime, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, introduced the perpetrators of the crime as trained and puppets of the school of global arrogance.
“The martyrs of the terrorist attack in a Shiite mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, are the martyrs and devotees of the path of Islam. Although the perpetrators of this painful crime also identify themselves as Muslims, Islam has nothing to do with violence and the killing of innocent people,” he clarified.
“There are over 300 verses in the Holy Quran about reason and thinking. Therefore, an action that has no intellectual basis and root cannot be attributed to Islam,” Ayatollah Ramazani as a preacher in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) said, expressing that Islam is the religion of compassion and kindness.
“On the other hand, the truth of Islam is spirituality and theism. Islam connects man to the spiritual world, which is, first of all, God Almighty and the relationship with Him, and this connection, in fact, gives direction to human life,” he added.
“Mercy and compassion are another pillars and truth of the religion of Islam,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “All the prophets and saints of God were sent to call humanity to mercy and kindness.”
“Global arrogance wants to attribute these criminal acts to Islam and Muslims. While Islam is the religion of mercy, and the Holy Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) has been sent to spread divine mercy in the world,” he continued.
“What is important in Islam is the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the avoidance of division. But today, unfortunately, global arrogance, with various tricks, divides Muslims,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
In this ceremony, verses from the Quran were recited in memory of the martyrs of Peshawar by Alireza Rezaei and Javad Kashefi, the distinguished and international Quran reciters of Astan Quds Razavi.
