AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Treasury of Quran and Gifts of Ayatollah Khamenei at Imam Reza holy shrine’s museum has put on public display the handwritten Quran copies attributed to Imam Hussein (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS), says Javad Farahmandnejad, head of the treasury.
The newly displayed collection has received extreme welcome of the visitors for their attribution to the Infallible Imams. “The eight-page Quranic pamphlet attributed to Imam Hussein (AS) is a masterpiece in the Islamic era which contains some verses of Sajdah and Ahzab surahs in its first four pages and some other verses from Saba and Luqman surahs in the other pages.” This work has been dedicated to the museum of Imam Reza holy shrine in 2005 by Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Farahmandnejad further noted that the work has been written in Kufic style and with black ink. The last page of this work has been signed with the expression of “Written by Hussein ibn Ali”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Farahmandnejad pointed to the Quranic pamphlet attributed to Imam Sajjad’s (AS) handwriting, saying: “This holy volume includes al-Baqarah to al-Nas surahs which has been written on 361 deer skin pieces. Expression of “Written by Ali ibn al-Hussein ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib” can be seen on the last page of this exquisite text as well”.
According to Farahmandnejad the seals of Imam Reza holy shrine’s custodians at the end of Qajar dynasty can be seen on all pages of this work.
These two exquisite Quranic texts and some other ones can be visited by the public at Treasury of Quran and Gifts of Ayatollah Khamenei in Kowsar portico every day between 8 and 12 in the morning.
