Commemoration of late Sultan al-Waezin Shirazi held in Qom

The conference “Awakeners 3” was held in the Ghadir Conference Hall in Qom.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): To commemorate the late Sultan Al-Waezin Shirazi, one of the Mujahed Ulama, the conference “Awakeners 3” was held on February 28, 2022, in in the Ghadir Conference Hall in Qom by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and related institutions.

At the beginning of the conference, while welcoming the guests, Hojat al-Islam Saeed Rusta Azad, Deputy for Cultural and Propagation Affairs of the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom Seminary, said, “This conference is the third meeting entitled “Awakeners”. The first session was dedicated to the commemorate Soheil Asad, an international missionary.”

“The second conference was held to commemorate Dr. Tijani’s valuable efforts in his presence. Now, the third session is dedicated to honoring the late Sultan al-Waezin, on the fiftieth anniversary of his demise,” he added.

“The most important points about the personality of the late Sultan al-Waezin were his special attention to the path of jihadi action, while preserving dignity of human beings, as well as his compassionate and hard-working movement with enduring many dangers,” Rusta Azad stated.

Referring to the book “Nights of Peshawar” by Sultan Al-Waezin Shirazi, he stated, “In recent times, this book can be a model for the missionary propagation activity, which is effort, compassion and taking risks.”

Following the ceremony, the message of Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, the Shiite Marja, to the conference, was read.

It should be mentioned that the late Sayed Mohammad Ashrafi Shirazi, known as the Sultan Al-Waezin (king of the preachers) Shirazi, was one of the mujahed scholars of the 14th century AH, who, with his excellent expression, did not spare any effort in defending the Shiite school.

He died on October 8, 1971 and was buried in Abu Hussein Cemetery in Qom.
